Below is a table of the current draw and visual brightness for the
standard bulbs (#1156 and #1157) at different voltages.  These
measurements are for 1 tail light unit (2 units’ per car).
  • There are two sets of three LEDs (Tri-LED) in each tail light unit that
    stay at full brightness down to 7 ½ volts.  One Tri-LED set is in the
    middle of the top park/stop light.  The second set is in the middle of the
    turn signal.
  • The circuit boards are reverse voltage and over voltage protected by
    on board diodes and transistors.
